I watched this last night, it is pretty nice. I wasn’t distracted by the special effects very much.

The skin and lighting on Benjamin’s CG head are flawless. It will be interesting to see Brad Pitt in forty years to see how close they came to guessing what he looks like at 90.

Bleach & Yanimator
Ichigo and Renji
I’ve been watching Bleach lately online and am on episode 57. I have no self control and will sit down to watch an episode but end up watching four. It is funny, well written, consistantly interesting, and filled with great characters.
This is some fan art by Kevin KY Yan aka Yanimator. It is pretty cute; his avatar is Ichigo and his girlfriends avatar is Rukia (Ichigo’s love interest in the show). I love seeing cartoon characters draw in a different style and well, his gallery is full of great character illustrations and at least five Bleach characters. I would like him to do Katen Kyoukotsu.

Samurai Jack
He is only the coolest cartoon samurai ever.
Actually, I watched Lawrence of Arabia a while ago and saw an episode of SJ shortly after, and noticed a similarity in cinematography. Lots of long, dynamic shots. Like anime but more original style.
