Dear Print Designers, This is How You Should Design for the Web 

Compared to print — which is at least 1800 years old — web design is new. If you learned about design in school, you probably didn’t learn very much about web design. If you have been designing solely for print for the past x number of years, there are most likely assumptions being made or questions needing answers.

5 Tips for Making Your Site More Effective 

A new category — website tips! I will be periodically writing articles to help people managing and or taking part in the design of their own sites. This first one was written for a company I work for who created TweakCMS.

1. Organize your pages logically

The more people have to click around to find what they are looking for the less likely they will be to stay on your site and become your customer. There is an easy way to figure out how to organize your pages so people can find what they need — it’s called card sorting. (more…)
