My future houses
I love ewoks and trees and and so the idea of living like an ewok in a tree, only with some of the most important modern amenities — sounds ideal. Pete Nelson is a great treehouse designer and builder and just released a book called New Treehouses of the World. I am going to order it right now.
UPDATE: It came in the mail on Monday and it is beautiful! My future children and I will definitely be having sleep outs in our future tree house.
Wonder Woman
I wish her website had more images, her comic book illustrated/painterly style is beautiful. I don’t share her enthusiasm for Buffy, but I am a fan of Joss Whedon’s Firefly and it looks like she’s working on the comic version of that.
They way she illustrates makes the characters seem more real, but still super and other worldly.
and everything else I have read by Arthur C. Clarke. Rendevous with Rama was the first book I read by him. I was twelve years old, it was the thickest book I had ever tried to read, and loved it. Now they are getting ready to make a film version with Morgan Freeman, who is also awesome, so I am excited about it.
