James Jeans illustratons are delicate, eerie and beautiful. I only wish there was more on his website.

No wait, I also wish he would do an illustrated version of one of Neil Gaiman‘s books – Neverwhere – yes, that would be awesome.

There are so many useful things for developing… here are some of my favourites:

  • Notepad++  is awesome, what would we do without syntax highlighting?
  • Firebug for Firefox is part of me now, I feel handicapped with out it.
  • CakePHP, haven’t learned it to well yet, but my co-workers love it.
  • jQuery, the magic wand of javascript.
  • Better Font Stacks, a great article about… well, font stacks.
  • w3schools, a goto, the bible of code

And design aids:

  • Typechart, great previews of what is capable with web fonts.
  • ColorSchemer is full of pretty and useful schemes and great palette software.
  • A List Apart kind of applies to both categories, heaps of good articles

I went to college with him and studied digital animation, Lev Kolobov. He is super talented, and here is his photo blog.

The subway we rode used to go over a small valley, I remember him talking about wanting to do some time lapse photography of that valley, but it wasn’t permitted to take pictures on from the train. Make sure you hover over his last name in the bottom right hand corner to see what each photo looked like before he edited it.

Oh so lovely.

What Heaven looks like in Molestown

Pretty darn cute.  It started with two graphic designers and one industrial designer making a company, they have a pretty distinct style, and all the characters they created became a little world – and if you have a little world in your head, it is probably a good idea to make a flash game out of it.

Here is their design studio.
